2012 June Packet

Meeting Location: First Presbyterian Church in Burlingame

Can you believe summer is here! For some that means that church slows down a little. For some the kids are out and vacations are planned. Whatever the case, I hope you all will have time to soak in some relaxation and fun.

I wanted to thank you all on behalf of the Meetings Working Group for participating in Open Space at our last presbytery meeting. There was a lot of great feedback and energy around the spaces. Check out the notes from all the spaces. I encourage you to find ways to connect and contact the meetings working group at meetingswg@presbyteryofsf.org if you are interested in hosting a future open space.

We have a lot of important and exciting items of business coming up at our June 12 presbytery meeting at First Presbyterian Church in Burlingame.

•                Meet the Presbytery Pastor candidate – there will be one Open Space offered in the afternoon to meet and greet him as well as table discussions for you all to get to know him. Be sure to read the background material on him provided in the presbytery packet.

•                Voting on Dismissal Policy – there will be one Open Space offered in the evening for opportunities for discussion, questions, and clarifications on the proposed dismissal policy. Please carefully read the policy and be prepared to ask your questions and give comments.

•                Worship to commission the General Assembly commissioners, overture advocates, Young Adult Advisory Delegate, staff, and officers

•                Closure of Fruitvale Presbyterian Church in Oakland

As you can tell, there is a lot at this meeting. See you all June 12 at Burlingame.
