I’m celebrating 27 years of ordained ministry. God’s calling has led me to serve in a variety of contexts. I have pastored local congregations in the urban inner city of Baltimore, Maryland; the suburbs of Mobile, Alabama; the small town community of Crestview, Florida; culminating with ten years as the pastor to the First Presbyterian Church in Cleveland Georgia, an emerging new church development north of Atlanta.
The Spirit then called me into mid-council ministry beginning in the heartland of Illinois, where I served as the Transitional Executive Presbyter for the Presbytery of Southeastern Illinois. For the last six years I’ve served as the Pastor for Mission and Vision for the Presbytery of San Francisco (Also the home of Star Fleet headquarters BTW)
I am a life-long learner, holding a Ph.D. in Human and Organizational Systems; a Master’s in Psychology; and a Master’s of Divinity; and I’m a certified Life-coach.
Writing is one way I express my creative self. I enjoy journaling a spiritual practice. Some publications of my writing include: children’s sermons in Abington Press’ Children Sermon Library Vols, 1, 2 and 3; We Believe Church School Curriculum; a chapter to a published book titled “The Reflective, Facilitative and Interpretive Practices of the Coordinated Management of Meaning.” I’m currently working on an adventure novel.
I’m married to Sherri, my soul mate and best friend. She shows me the rainbows along this journey. We are enjoying this California adventure, and continue to be grateful and amazed!
