About the CRE-CP Program
The Commissioned Ruling Elder–Commissioned Pastor (CRE-CP) Program is offered by the Presbytery of San Francisco. This foundational curriculum is open by audit to all who seek spiritual growth and want to equip for ministry. Only ordained Presbyterian elders may apply for CRE-CP consideration.
The program requires approximately 15–30 hours per month over 12–16 months, with a minimum of 12 of 16 classes completed (at least 3 from each of the four study areas).
Who Can Attend
Any church leader may audit. Only ordained Presbyterian elders may apply for CRE-CP candidacy.
Time Commitment
~15–30 hours/month for 12–16 months. Minimum 12 of 16 classes required.
Location
Virtual via Zoom and in-person at 545 Ashbury Ave, El Cerrito, CA, plus other Bay Area locations.
