“For where two or three are gathered together in my name, there am I in the midst of them.” Matt. 18:20 KJV

Greetings in the name of our resurrected Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.

In the Spirit of the Living God we will Gather, Meet, Greet, and Move together to fulfill the purpose of this meeting where we contemplate and discern our theme: Whatever you do for the least of these at Presbyterian Church in Chinatown.  Everything that we consider and do, as well as the actions we will take, will confirm who we are as true believers and disciples of Jesus Christ, called according to God’s purpose. We continue to Do The Work for God’s people and to give thanks to Our Creator for guidance.

Major items of business at this meeting includes the good things we are accomplishing:

  • COM will celebrate and honor those ministers who have served and transitioned to be with The Lord
  • The Partnership Working is sharing important ways to connect—through peace and justice.
  • Preparing ourselves for the 224th General Assembly to be held in Baltimore, MD on June 20, 2020
  • Our offering will go for Presbytery Deacon’s Fund for pastors needing emergency assistance.

The first meeting of 2020 will be held on February 11th at Irvington Presbyterian Church in Fremont.

We look forward to this gathering in the presence of the Living God!

November 14, 2019

Greetings, Thank you for attending the Presbytery meeting at The Presbyterian Church in Chinatown on Tuesday, November 12th. I agreed to send documents that were inadvertently omitted from the packet. They include the updated “provisional” budget that was approved at the meeting. This budget is provisional because we expect it to change sometime over the next year.  MVL has directed a wider conversation about additional mission giving and other forms of benevolence. Also included are the FPOC Covenant-SF agreements and the missional proposal with Oakland City Church (OCC) and SF Presbytery.

Thanks again, Rochelle – Stated Clerk
