A talk and book reading by music historian and anthropologist, Tala Jarjour, PhD. Her new book, Sense and Sadness: Syriac Chant in Aleppo, tells the story and examines the history of both Syriac chant and the Christians of Aleppo who worship with it.
Dr. Jarjour will speak and read from her book on Thursday, March 28, at 7:00 pm at Old First Presbyterian Church, 1751 Sacramento Street, San Francisco.
