STUDENT LOAN DEBT WEBINAR with Board of Pensions

STUDENT LOAN DEBT WEBINAR
Board of Pensions
July 20, 2022
11:00am (PST)/3:00pm (EST)

Last fall, the U.S. Department of Education announced a change to Public Service Loan Forgiveness (PSLF) program rules for a limited time in response to the COVID-19 emergency. Now through October 31, 2022, borrowers may receive credit for past periods of repayment that would otherwise not qualify for PSLF.

To help ministers relieve the burden of educational debt and achieve greater financial well-being, the Board of Pensions is providing a new resource, EdAssist — at no cost — to ministers enrolled in the Benefits Plan of the Presbyterian Church (U.S.A.). EdAssist, offered through the educational debt reduction firm PeopleJoy, provides coaching to help ministers understand and apply for the PSLF program if they qualify.

Please join this webinar on Wednesday, July 20th (11:00am) that will cover the changes to Federal Student Loan policy that massively affect PC(USA) leaders.

The webinar will be presented by PeopleJoy, a student loan consulting company contracted by the Presbyterian Mission Agencyto provide digital advising and hands-on document preparation and submission for Federal Programs including
Public Service Loan Forgiveness, Income-Driven Repayment Plans, Loan Consolidation, Default Recovery and more.
