First Presbyterian Church of Berkeley – Financial and Office Manager

First Presbyterian Church of Berkeley is looking for qualified candidates as a financial and office manager. This position will manage the daily and monthly business operations of Berkeley Christian Counselors including finance and administration. This position reports to and provides support for the Executive Director and works closely with the Clinical Director. This position is non-exempt at 20-25 hours a week with no benefits.

Financial operations responsibilities and activities (include but are not limited to):

  • Maintain confidential financial records, including tracking fees and contribution
  • Process deposits, including credit card and PayPal reporting
  • Calculate payroll for Licensed Clinician
  • Provide monthly A/R reports to clinicians and complete appropriate follow-up invoicing

Office administration responsibilities and activities (include but are not limited to):

  • Provide administrative support to program staff
  • Maintain database records in Therapy Notes cloud-based data management program
  • Answer phone calls and emails including responding to queries and completing client intakes
  • Manage and maintain the BCC website

Minimum Requirements (include but are not limited to):

  • A growing and deepening faith in Jesus Christ
  • At least five years of administrative experience, clinical setting and/or non-profit experience highly desirable
  • Strong organizational skills, written and verbal communication skills and attention to detail
  • Competence in: Microsoft Office suite, Google suite, Adobe Acrobat, online applications such as Zoom, as well as familiarity with at least one database program (e.g. Therapy Notes).
